Sterilization

By exhausting research into alternatives, we have decided not to recommend premature castration. Our pups are sent home under a neuter / sterilization contract to be sterilized at the age of 12 months at the owner’s expense.
There is a wealth of information that shows that the protection of congenital sex hormones, especially in the first year of life, will be beneficial for pets.
Here are just some of the possible side effects of premature spraying / castration:
Shortened lifespan, atypical Cushing’s disease, heart tumors, bone cancer, abnormal bone growth and development, higher CCL rupture rates, lumbar dysplasia, urinary incontinence in dogs and urethral animal incontinence in men are some of the physical side effects of castration, also behavioral effects such as separation anxiety, fear of sounds, shyness, excitability, submissive urination, aggression, hyperactivity and fear bites.
The spay/neuter surgery done later, is no more difficult than a paediatric spay/neuter, in fact, it is made all that much easier by the fact that the dog is mature, and everything is far larger and easier to remove.
